Hanuman Mandalapu, 31, Vinod Doppalapudi, 31, and Muhammad Usama, 27, are due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court today (Monday).

All three defendants are charged with fraud by false representation and conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation.

Court documents allege the trio deceived a person, who lives in Wiltshire, into believing they were members of Barclays’ fraud team.

It is alleged that she was convinced to hand over more than £500,000 worth of gold.

The fraud by false representation charge relates to alleged offending between the middle of July and 11 September.

The conspiracy charge alleges the three men conspired to commit fraud between 14 July and 12 September.

Mandalapu, of Cranbrook Road, Ilford, Doppalapudi, of Icknield Drive, Ilford, and Usama, of Ranelagh Road, Southall, are each facing the two charges.

The defendants are remanded in custody and due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court this morning.
