Forensics descended on a railway path in Swindon after a body was discovered.
Emergency services were called to the scene behind Belmont Crescent in Old Town following reports of an unresponsive male early on Saturday 27 June.
A paramedic attended, confirming that the 46-year-old man – who was besides the Old Town Railway Path – was deceased.
The area was cordoned off as a crime scene and detectives carried out investigation work alongside a team of forensics.
The death was soon ruled non-suspicious, and police had left by early afternoon.
Wiltshire Police said that the man’s next of kin has been informed.
“Our thoughts are with them at this time”, a force spokesperson added.
