A Swindon motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on a B-road near a White Horse.
Emergency services were called to a fatal road traffic collision on the B4507 at Uffington, in Oxfordshire, at around 9.50pm on Tuesday (23 June).
The incident, on the crossroads with Dragon Hill Road and Broad Way, involved a black Citroën C1 and a white KTM RC 125 motorbike.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance were tasked, but were subsequently stood down en route – as the helicopter passed over Lambourn.
The motorcyclist Michał Mamys, a 32-year-old man from Swindon, died at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that the driver and two passengers of the Citroën were uninjured in the crash.
A force spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time.
“If you have any information or footage, please contact us quoting reference 43260317276.”
A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of the 32-year-old, named as Michał, following his death in Tuesday’s motorcycle collision.
The GoFundMe was set up by close family friend Artur Kunz, who said he hopes to ease the financial burden facing Michał’s loved ones during what he described as an “incredibly difficult time”.
On the fundraising page, Michał is described as “a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and loyal friend”.
It adds that his sudden death has left “an unimaginable void” in the lives of those who knew him, especially his wife and their 11-year-old daughter.
Money raised will help cover funeral costs, transport Michał’s ashes to Poland so he can be laid to rest in his homeland, and provide financial support for his wife and daughter in the months ahead.
