A man has died in hospital days after a motorbike crash on a Wiltshire route.
Emergency services were called to a serious road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A346 at Collingbourne Ducis on the morning of 19 April.
The incident involved two cars – a Land Rover and a Volkswagen ID3 – and a motorcyclist at around 10am. The injured biker, Antonio Monteiro, was rushed to hospital.
Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he passed away surrounded by his wife, son and close family and friends on Saturday (25 April).
A GoFundMe has been launched to help his immediate family. The money will go towards funeral costs and provide financial support as they come to terms with their loss.
“Antonio was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a dear friend to so many”, it reads.
“He had a way of bringing light into every room—always smiling, always making others smile, and always there when someone needed him.
“His loss is being felt deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.”
Following the serious crash, Wiltshire Police were forced to appeal for information after one of the cars believed to be involved failed to stop at the scene.
