There are railway delays after a person was hit by a train in Gloucestershire.
Great Western Air Ambulance landed shortly after the incident was reported in the Stroud area at around 7.20am this morning (Monday).
The line is blocked between Gloucester and Swindon, and is impacting services across the South West.
In a statement, a spokesperson for GWR said: “Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident near the railway between Gloucester and Swindon the line is blocked.
“Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 11:30 20/04.
“A person has been struck by a train, leading to all lines being blocked. It is necessary to bring all trains in the affected area to an immediate stop.
