A crash has partially blocked the A419 in Swindon this afternoon (Friday).
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on the major route’s northbound carriageway in the Dorcan area at around 3pm.
The incident appears to have involved a car and a lorry, with a white hatchback – thought to be a Nissan Micra – wrecked with front-end damage.
Police have partially blocked the A419, with motorists facing delays on the approach. Traffic is building in both directions.
UPDATE 4.15PM: A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We attended a collision on the A419 northbound just prior to the Wanborough junction, following a collision just before 3pm involving a car and lorry.
“One driver taken to hospital. Vehicles have been moved out of the carriageway.”
