Three people are in custody after firearms officers stormed a flat in Swindon.
Armed police executed a warrant at a property in Welcombe Avenue, Park North, at approximately 6.30pm on Thursday evening (2 April).
Alongside officers, the ambulance service’s Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an operational commander were deployed to standby.

After making entry, a 22‑year‑old man, a 20‑year‑old woman and a 39‑year‑old woman were arrested on suspicion of affray.
It follows a “large‑scale disorder” in Welcombe Avenue on Monday (30 March) – which also saw armed officers sent to the scene.
Three people were arrested during the initial response, but have since been released on bail as future investigative work is carried out.

While details of the initial incident are unclear, the offence of affray often relates to the use of weapons in a fight.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Residents in the area can expect to see an increased police presence while officers carry out their enquiries.
“Anyone with information that could assist is asked to contact an officer.
“Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
