A scaffolding truck has smashed through a garden wall on a junction in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Moredon Road at around 6.30pm this evening (Sunday).
A flatbed truck left the carriageway and crashed into a wall on the roundabout for Bourne Road.
The vehicle came to rest in the garden of William Robins Court, a Swindon Borough Council-owned sheltered housing complex.
The incident sparked a significant 999 response – with police and the fire service on scene. The road was closed in both directions, but has since reopened.
It’s not clear whether anyone was injured or if any arrests were made.
