An air ambulance has landed after a vehicle crashed into a tree in south Wiltshire.
Emergency services were called a serious road traffic collision on the A36 near Landford, in the New Forest, at around 6pm this evening (Friday).
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has touched down in a field alongside the scene, with charity medics working alongside with fire and ambulance crews.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the route has been shut. It’s likely to remain closed for several hours.
A force spokesperson said: “We’ve closed the A36 in both directions between Brickworth Corner and Lyndhurst Road junction after a vehicle hit a tree.
“Emergency services are currently on scene. Delays are expected in the area whilst the incident is dealt with.”
