A man has died after collapsing outside a supermarket in a Wiltshire town.
Emergency services were called to Sainsbury’s in Rowden Lane, Bradford on Avon, at around 11.20am on Wednesday (14 January).
A man, aged in his 80s, suffered a medical episode in the car park – with medics battling to save his life for around an hour, according to a witness.
Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police closed the car park to allow 999 crews to work. Sainsbury’s was also closed. A private ambulance attended, and the car park reopened at around 2pm.
South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that two double-crewed land ambulances and an operations officer were tasked.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said officers attended reports of a sudden death.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and our thoughts are with his family”, they added.
