A biker has been seriously injured in a country road crash near Chippenham.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was scrambled to the road traffic collision on B4069 Main Road near Christian Malford at around 6pm this afternoon (Friday).
A man, the rider of a motorcycle, sustained serious injuries. He was treated by critical care medics and local ambulance crews on scene.
Following roadside care, he was taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further treatment. His next of kin has been informed.
The road is currently closed in both directions between Christian Malford and Sutton Benger.
