Building firm apologise after driver parks van dangerously on junction

A building firm has apologised after one of their representatives shut the door in the face of a motorist – after she raised concerns about his dangerous parking.

After finding it incredibly difficult to navigate the junction without an accident, Michelle Kaye felt it was important to let him know and ask him to move his AD Solutions-branded van.

However, on speaking to the man, he said: “No”, and closed the door.

Near to Longleaze Primary School and St Bartholomew’s Primary Academy, Michelle felt that the van driver was risking the lives of everyone using the busy road by parking there – where other motorists struggled to see what was coming, or who was crossing.

Talking to Wiltshire 999s,  Michelle said: “I knocked on the door and spoke politely to a man who works for AD Solutions, explaining that his van was blocking the junction and therefore was a hazard and could cause an accident.

“I asked very politely if he could move the van, to which he looked at me and said no. He then shut the door. I feel this was very selfish and irresponsible.”

When we approached AD Solutions for a comment, one of the directors was very clear that they do not condone his behaviour or parking:

“We have been made aware of a post on social media, displaying photographs of one of our vehicles parked inconsiderately on Queens Road earlier today.

“According to a member of the public, when the van driver was confronted about their parking and asked to move the vehicle, he responded ‘no’ and shut the door.

“We in no way condone this behaviour and take these kinds of complaints very seriously. The person in question will be dealt with accordingly following an investigation.

“We will be speaking with all of our employees and contractors about parking respectfully and legally to prevent this happening in the future.

“We apologise to the member of the public involved.”
