A man has been rushed to hospital after a car hit a van door in a Wiltshire lane.
Emergency services were called to the road traffic collision in Biddestone Lane, Yatton Keynell, at around 11.15am this morning (Tuesday).
The incident involved a stationary West Kington Nurseries van and a car – which struck the open van door, causing it to knock the driver to the ground.

At the time of the crash, the sun was blazing north. It’s very possible that the car driver’s visibility was impacted.
An ambulance, two local policing vehicles and a roads policing unit were on scene alongside others who had stopped to help the injured man.
South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that one patient was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment.
Wiltshire 999s understands that the man required stitches for a head injury. Wiltshire Police said that his injuries aren’t believed to be serious.
