A Calne man has been sentenced for possessing indecent images of children.
At Swindon Magistrates’ Court, Gary Turney previously pleaded guilty to three counts of making child abuse images by downloading them on the web.
The 64-year-old defendant, of Tyning Park, acquired to have the material between 21 October and 22 October 2023, according to court documents.
He had 151 illegal images, including 45 in Category A – the most serious level – along with 53 Category B and 53 Category C images.
On 5 November, Turney was handed a two-year community order, which includes 200 hours of unpaid work and 25 rehabilitation activity days.
He must also sign the Sex Offenders Register for five years.
