Firefighters are tackling a car blaze in Market Lavington near Devizes.
Emergency services were called to High Street at around 10.30am today (Tuesday).
Members of the public closed the road as the flames erupted, with a fire crew arriving a short time later to extinguish the flames.
The road is likely to remain closed for several hours – for recovery work and resurfacing of the highway.
A spokesperson for Faresaver, the bus company, confirmed that their local service is affected by the incident.
They said: “Due to a car fire in Market Lavington High Street we are only able to serve as far as Grove Road before turning around.
“The road is due to be closed for at least a few hours.”
