Police are hunting a driver after a ‘young child’ was hit by a car in a quiet residential street in Swindon at the weekend.
The incident — involving a white van — happened in Flint Hill, between Stokesay Drive and Dubwich Drive, in Toothill, at around 11.30am on Saturday (18 October).
While the driver reportedly stopped to talk to the injured child’s family at the scene – they failed to provide them with any details before leaving.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “At approximately 11.30am on Saturday (18/10), a child was hit by a vehicle in Beaulieu Close, Toothill.
“The driver did initially stop and speak to the young child’s family, however, did not leave any details.
“We are keen to speak to the driver or anyone who witnessed the incident.
