A pesky bull has been testing boundaries at a Wiltshire rescue centre – literally… by jumping out of his field and holding up traffic.
Despite being contained by a solid brick wall, Trevor keeps leaping over it and ending up in the road just outside the sanctuary.
The team at Coppershell Animal Rescue, in Gastard near Corsham, say Trevor is in his teens and “testing his jumping power”.
In a social media update, the rescue described him as being in his “threenanger” phase, and admitted he had become a handful in recent days.
Trevor caused traffic delays earlier this week after escaping and being chased along the road by staff in what was described as a game of tag.
“Apologies to those who had a delay on the way to work,” the post read.
“It’s been a while since we have had a threenanger on our hands.”
A Coppershell Animal Rescue spokesperson said that while other bulls have tried similar antics in the past, Trevor is particularly determined to push his limits.
“Elton still does it to this day – to get to us, not away.”
They urged anyone who spots Trevor roaming around – or chasing sheep – to contact them. They also welcomed offers from anyone willing to “gentle parent” the adventurous bovine.
Despite the escapes, the rescue reassured supporters that all fences on the site are more than 5.5ft high, with Trevor’s enclosure made from solid brick – suggesting his behaviour is more about athleticism than any lack of containment.
