Emergency services were called to the scene at Stroud railway station shortly after 10am this morning (Wednesday).

Great Western Air Ambulance was among the 999 resources deployed. The train involved was a GWR service making it way from Swindon to Gloucester.

While the incident is in Gloucestershire, services between Swindon and Gloucester are affected – with the line blocked.

An update on the GWR website reads: “Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Swindon and Gloucester all lines are blocked.
