UPDATE: Fundraiser for ‘amazing’ Evri worker hurt in Blunsdon van robbery
An Evri delivery driver has been seriously injured in a van robbery near Swindon.
Emergency services were called to the incident in High Street, Blunsdon, at around 12.30pm this afternoon (Monday).
Wiltshire Police say a woman, aged in her 40s, was delivering parcels when a suspect entered her van and started driving away.
She attempted to hold on to the vehicle and was dragged down the road. She has been taken to hospital with injuries that are potentially life-changing.
Officers have since located the vehicle, and forensic examination work is ongoing.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for information and dash cam footage following the theft of a van in Blunsdon this afternoon (22/09), during which the victim was dragged down the road by the vehicle.
“We have already spoken to a number of witnesses at the scene however we are keen to hear from any witnesses who we haven’t spoken to, or anyone who has information.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have captured dashcam footage of the incident.
