A children’s hospice, with a site in Devizes, has dropped the Duchess of York as a patron over her email to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The charity Julia’s House, which supports families of young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, confirmed the decision in a statement today (Monday).

A spokesperson said: “Following the information shared this weekend on the Duchess of York’s correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein, Julia’s House has taken the decision that it would be inappropriate for her to continue as a patron of the charity.

“We have advised the Duchess of York of this decision and thank her for her past support.”

Sarah, Duchess of York, had “humbly apologised” to Epstein for linking him to paedophilia in the media, according to recent reporting by The Sun.

It’s claimed she described him as a “steadfast, generous and supreme friend”.

However, a spokesperson for the royal said it was “in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats”.
