A 69-year-old man has died in serious crash on M4 near Swindon this morning.
At around 8am, his car – a silver Citroen C5 – collided with the hard shoulder on the westbound carriageway between junction 14 and 15. It’s believe the driver suffered a medical episode.
A police spokesperson said: “Despite the efforts of paramedics, the driver, a 69-year-old man from the London area, sadly died at the scene. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
“Officers are trying to clarify the exact circumstances so would like to hear from anyone who saw the car before the collision, or anyone who witnessed the collision.”
