Two men have been arrested after a teenager was assaulted during a robbery in Swindon town centre last night.
Police were called at around 10.10pm yesterday by the ambulance service who were treating a boy who had been assaulted in Fleming Way.
The victim — a 16-year-old boy — suffered relatively minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment, however their mobile phone and money were stolen during the robbery.
Two men aged 23 and 33 were arrested on suspicion of robbery a short while later and are currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We would ask anyone who witnessed the robbery, or anyone who has any information about what happened, to call Swindon CID.
“You should call us on 101, quoting crime reference 54200095293. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
