A 13-year-old boy has been stabbed in an attack outside Bristol’s Cabot Circus.
Emergency services were called to the incident close to McDonald’s in The Horsefair at around 7.40pm yesterday evening (Thursday, 27 June).
The teenager was stabbed after an altercation with a small group of young people, who subsequently fled the scene.
The boy, aged 13, went to hospital with injuries – but is said to be in a stable condition.
Avon and Somerset Police say his wounds life-threatening or life-changing and his next of kin is aware.
DCI Ben Lavender said: “An investigation is well underway to identify the suspects and our enquiries will continue at pace today.
“We’ll be keeping the boy’s family updated on our progress and will give them any support they need.
“We’d appeal to anyone who saw what happened, or anyone with mobile phone/dashcam/doorbell footage which could help, to call us.”
