A 13-year-old boy has been charged with the stabbing of a girl in Amesbury on Halloween.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident in Jaggard View on Wednesday evening, where a 15-year-old girl suffered a knife wound to her shoulder.
The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment, but is now recovering at home.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was been remanded in custody overnight and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court later today, 2 November.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We would like to remind people that the case is now active and the defendant is not allowed to be named due to his age.
“Any speculation or discussions on social media could jeopardise the police investigation and court case.”
