A combine harvester fire has created a huge smoke plume over Wiltshire.
The sizeable farming vehicle burst into flames in the village of Aldbourne, near Marlborough, at around 3.15pm this afternoon (Wednesday).
Three fire engines, from Swindon, Stratton and Marlborough, were sent to the incident.
A water carrier from Gloucestershire were also mobilised to assist at the scene.
“On arrival crews found one vehicle alight and an area of crop also on fire”, a spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
Adding: “Firefighters in breathing apparatus are using hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.”
The huge plume of black smoke could be seen for miles around.
