Wiltshire Police are currently dealing with a crash on the A338, leading to the road being closed in both directions.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance, were called to the road traffic collision just north of Tidworth at around 3pm today (Tuesday).
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and plan alternative routes due to significant delays.
Drivers approaching from Tidworth are being diverted through local B‑roads, which are also experiencing congestion as traffic seeks to avoid the closure.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are currently in attendance at a road collision on the A338 north of Tidworth.
“The road is closed in both directions.
“Please find alternate routes.”
Local bus services are likely to be affected by the delays. Commuters should check with their operators before travelling.
At present, there is no confirmed timeframe for reopening the A338. Updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
