Two people have been arrested after a man suffered life-threatening injuries in a serious assault.

Emergency services, including two air ambulance teams, were called to an address in Royal Wootton Bassett at just after midday following reports of a man suffering stab wounds.

The casualty, in his 50s, was airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Police say two males, aged 21 and 23, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Anyone witnesses or anyone with information about the incident should call Wiltshire Police on 101 immediately, quoting log 105 of today (10/09).
