UPDATE: Biker killed as four motorcycles struck by car on Wiltshire route
Three air ambulances have landed for a serious crash in Wiltshire.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision the A36 at Knook, near Warminster, at around 10.30am this morning (Saturday).
Further details are unclear at this stage – but the incident has sparked a significant 999 response.
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Great Western Air Ambulance are all on scene.
This suggests the crash has resulted in multiple casualties with serious injuries.
The road is likely to remain closed in both directions for the rest of the day.
There are also delays on the A303 near Stonehenge, where there has been a minor road traffic collision – which is partially blocking the route.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Please be advised we are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A36 at Knook.
“The road is closed in both directions from Heytesbury to Deptford and it will remain closed for several hours.
“Please seek alternative routes and avoid the area.”
