Across social media, Swindon residents have been asking why the police helicopter was hovering over one part of the town earlier tonight.
The helicopter was seen hovering over Stratton, Park North and other parts of the east Swindon area from around 8pm tonight, Monday 17 July.
Wiltshire police officers, along with support from the National Police Air Support unit, were carrying our a search for a high-risk missing female.
Luckily, she was located by the helicopter crew, who guided police officers on the ground to her location. She was located and is now confirmed safe.
