A Swindon town centre road has been closed following reports of a fire.
Five fire engines were reportedly seen attending the scene in Farnsby Street at around 1pm today (1 January).
Fire crews from Swindon, Stratton Westlea, Royal Wootton Bassett, Malmesbury and Chippenham attended the incident.
However, it was discovered the fire alarms were activated by cooking fumes and not flames.
Fire crews were stood down.
