One dead in serious collision between lorry and car closes the M4 westbound

Two people have been injured and one person has died in a crash on the M4 westbound this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene, near to Leigh Delamere services, shortly after 5am this morning following a collision involving a Nissan Qashqai and aN Iceland lorry.

The man, who was travelling in the Nissan, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Formal identification has not yet taken place.

Two other males received injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Following a thorough investigation into the crash, the road reopened at 4.50pm.
