Police officers are searching an area near to a road traffic collision, after they discovered a damaged vehicle with its bonnet wrapped around a tree tonight.

Wiltshire Police are currently at the scene, at 11.25pm on 14 June, on a country road near to the village of Castle Eaton, near Highworth.

A police spokesperson said: “If the driver had contacted the non-emergency 101 number, we wouldn’t have had to attend and spend time looking in the area for a possibly injured driver and units wouldn’t be going to the home address to check on the registered keeper.”
