Police are investigating the circumstances around a crash in Swindon on Saturday.

The road traffic collision involved a grey Skoda and a silver Renault Megane on Great Western Way at around 3.15pm.

As first reported by Wiltshire 999s, the road was closed between Cockleberry Roundabout and Transfer Bridges by police as they attended the scene.

Today, Wiltshire Police has issued an appeal for any witnesses to come forward as the probe the cause of the crash.

A spokesperson for the force said: “At approximately 3.15pm, we responded to a grey Skoda which had been involved in a collision with a silver Renault Megane on Great Western Way between Transfer Bridges and the Cockleberry roundabout.

“We are asking for anyone who was in this area and may have seen anything or drivers who have dash cam footage from the area at that time to call us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54210016870.”
