Police are hunting a man who allegedly ‘pleased himself’ over some avocados in Waitrose.

Shop staff were reportedly forced to throw away trays of the fruit following the disturbing incident at the Malmesbury store at around 2.30pm on 12 February.

“The matter was dealt with quickly and sensitively, and we apologise for any distress this caused”, a spokesperson for Waitrose told Wiltshire 999s.

Now, Wiltshire Police has launched an investigation into the indecent exposure – with a CCTV image of the man involved shared publicly.

In an appeal, a force spokesperson said: “We are appealing to identify this person in connection with an incident of indecent exposure in Malmesbury earlier this month.

“The incident took place in Waitrose on February 12 at around 2.30pm.

“The suspect is described as white, around 6ft 2ins, with short dark hair, wearing a black coat and dark jogging bottoms.

“If you recognise him, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 54250018503.”
