The A361 has been closed in both directions near Melksham following a serious crash.

Emergency services are attending the scene on the s-bend at Seend Head, between Seend and Semington. It’s believed to have happened at around 11.15am.

Police, fire and ambulance are all at the incident, which involves a lorry and three cars – a black Kia, a red Ford and a grey BMW. Specialist roads policing officers are also in attendance.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “At 11.25am today (12/08) we were called to a road traffic collision on the A361 near Seend.

“Officers are currently at the scene assisting paramedics and the fire service and the road is blocked.
