A man was ‘stabbed in the head’ in a Swindon street, according to locals.
The incident saw Rodbourne Road closed as emergency services attended on Friday (16 May).
Several police vehicles, an ambulance and a fire engine were on scene – with officers shutting the route between Kemble Drive and Jennings Street.
The area was cordoned off with police tape and a man could be seen clutching a bloody wound on the back of his head.
According to a local, a man suffered a stab wound to the head. The witness claims he even overhead police talking about the victim’s injuries.
He said the police declared the area a crime scene and ‘wouldn’t let him home’ – but disappeared 20 minutes later.
Another resident said that one man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the head, while another was arrested.
999 crews first arrived at the scene at around 4.45pm, but they had left the area by 5.30pm.
But what really happened remains a mystery – with no formal statement being issued by Wiltshire Police since the incident.
Wiltshire 999s approached the force for comment on Saturday (17 May) and chased for comment again today (Monday) – but it is yet to respond.
