Motorists may face delays on the M4 after a Range Rover burst into flames today (Thursday).

Emergency services were reportedly called to the vehicle blaze at around 4.40pm this afternoon.

The police and National Highways are likely to close the motorway – between junctions 14 (Hungerford) and 15 (Swindon) – whilst firefighters extinguish the flames.

The incident is on the westbound carriageway, but both directions will be affected due to the smoke plume.

Motorists may face significant traffic delays in both directions whilst the fire is dealt with.
