A building in Melksham has become a crime scene after a cannabis farm was discovered.

The Unicorn, a now-derelict restaurant, was cordoned off with police tape at around 10pm last night Tuesday 14 March).

Officers found a cannabis farm within the property – which is located opposite Cooper Tires in Bath Road.

An officer from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene to “provide advice”.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We’ve found a cannabis factory at an abandoned pub in Melksham.

“We were called to the Unicorn public house in Bath Road at 10.15pm last night.

“Officers remain in attendance at the pub while a cordon is in place and the electricity board make the scene safe.”
