Marco Pierre White Junior missed a court hearing because he is in hospital.

The Celebrity Big Brother star was due to appear before Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (9 March) to answer a string of charges brought against him.

The 26-year-old, of Rudloe Hall Hotel in Leafy Lane, Corsham, is charged with four offences, which are alleged to have taken place on 14 January last year.

Pierre White is accused of possessing a knife in a public place, theft of clothing from Wadswick Country Stores, going equipped for theft and possession of heroin.

In a letter received by the court, a doctor said that Pierre White is not fit to attend court, confirming that he is “in hospital for ongoing investigations”, but no further information was provided.

Tom Power, prosecuting, said “we just need to know more from him”, and asked for a short adjournment to seek clarification of when he is likely to be able to attend a hearing.

Magistrates adjourned the case until 16 March to allow the Crown Prosecution Service to “get a full explanation” from his solicitor Ian Kelcey.
