A manhunt is underway in Swindon after a teenager ‘had his wrists sliced open’.

Police and paramedics provided emergency medical care to the boy outside the Link Centre, in Link Avenue, at around 5pm today (Saturday, 29 October).

As the victim was rushed to hospital for treatment, officers launched a large-scale manhunt to locate a number of suspects spotted fleeing the area.

Three crime scenes are in place in the vicinity of the Link Centre as detectives are called to investigate the knife attack and forensics attempt to gather evidence.

A first aid kit and a grit bin covered in blood can be seen within the cordon

An ice hockey game that is due to take place this evening will go ahead as usual.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed a “teenager was cut across the wrists”.

Adding that a “cordon has been set up while officers investigate”.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the force on 101 quoting log number 245 of today’s date.
