A man struck by a car in Devizes town centre has been seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to Long Street, near the Bridewell Street junction, following the incident at around 10.30pm on Saturday (14 June).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance landed in The Green, with the charity’s critical care medics providing urgent care alongside local ambulance crews.
A man, aged 28, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the driver of the car involved remained at the scene, and no arrests were made.
The road was closed for several hours – but had reopened by 8am.
