A man has been charged after an early morning break-in at a shop in Chippenham.
Police raced to reports of an intruder at New Look, in Borough Parade, on Wednesday (28 May).
Officers, including a dog handler with police dog Xena, attended the scene.
A man was found hiding in the store’s changing rooms – and was arrested for burglary.
He’s since been charged with the offence, along with assaulting a police officer, possession of a knife and criminal damage to a police vehicle.
Antony Sloper was remanded in police custody to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
