The M4 in Wiltshire will close in both directions at around 6.30pm this evening (Tuesday).

National Highways will be shutting the motorway between junctions 15 and 14.

This is to facilitate the safe removal of horses from a broken down horse box to another vehicle.

At 6.10pm, a spokesperson said: “Please be aware, within the next 15/20 minutes we’ll be stopping traffic in both directions between J14 Hungerford Newtown and J15 Swindon.

“[This is] to safely transfer horses to a replacement horse box, following a break down.”
