UPDATE: Nine people including baby in hospital after boat ‘explodes’
Eight ambulances and a two air ambulances are currently attending a boat fire in Lechlade.
Emergency services were called to a serious incident on the River Thames at around midday today (Saturday), with a significant 999 response.
A boat – believed to be a house boat – caught fire, with black smoke billowing into the sky.
Numerous fire crews are in attendance as firefighters battle the raging flames.
Eight ambulances – three of which are Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) crews – and Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance an are on scene.
