Forensics have combed a Trowbridge shop for evidence after a burglary.

Police were called to an alarm activation at Proper Job in Yeoman Way at around 4.30am this morning (Thursday).

Officers taped off the building as a crime scene ahead of forensic investigation work.

Forensics have been on site for around two hours, swabbing doors and taking photographs.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following reports of a burglary at a unit on Yeoman Way, Trowbridge just after 4.30am this morning (29/08).

“Officers were alerted to the alarm being activated and have a scene in place while they carry out an investigation.”

They added: “If you saw anything suspicious or have CCTV that could help with our enquiries, please contact us on 101 quoting log 28 of today’s date (29/08).”
