A cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run involving an e-scooter rider who fled the scene.

Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at around 6.55pm yesterday (11 August).

The force says the collision took place on the cycle path at the Honda Roundabout, at the Highworth Road junction with Milne Way.

The cyclist wasn’t seriously injured and didn’t require hospital treatment, but his bike was damaged. Despite this, the e-scooter rider left the scene before police arrived.

The rider is described as around 6ft tall, slim build, wearing a black top and a white full-face motocross-style motorcycle helmet.

The e-scooter was black with large tyres.

Anyone with information should call PC Harrison on 101, quoting reference 54210078322.
