A motorhome has been destroyed in a fire on the driveway of a home in Chippenham.
A huge smoke plume filled the skies as emergency services raced to the scene of the blaze in Hardenhuish Lane at around 7.45am this morning (Friday).
Three fire crews – from Chippenham and Calne stations – worked to bring the flames under control for some time.
In total, six firefighters used breathing apparatus and two main jets to extinguish it, protecting nearby properties from fire spread.
Despite their efforts, the nearby home sustained some damage to its gutter and roof.
Firefighters remained on scene for several hours as they monitored two LPG (gas) cylinders as they cooled down.
Hardenhuish Lane was partially closed during rush-hour, causing significant traffic issues.
Nobody is believed to have been injured in the incident.
