A road through Calne will be closed intermittently today as police continue to investigate a crash.

The rider of a green Triumph Tiger suffered life-changing injuries in a collision with a blue Ford Fiesta on the A3102 Calne bypass on 31 March this year.

It happened at around 2.45pm, with the road being closed in both directions for more than eight hours whilst specialist collision investigators worked at the scene.

This morning, officers returned to the crash site to carry out reconstruction work.

A police spokesperson said: “The closure will take place between the School Road roundabout to the junction of the Stickleback Road roundabout.

“This is to allow for a collision reconstruction examination to take place for a collision which occurred in March 2020.

“The road will be closed for approximately 30mins at a time, and then allowed to re-open. The examination is hoped to conclude around Midday.”
