A busy Wiltshire route has been closed both ways after a lorry caught fire.

Emergency services were called to the A338 just south of Collingbourne Kingston at around midday today (Thursday).

A lorry is well alight, with firefighters called to the scene to tackle the flames.

The incident has shut the road in both directions between Collingbourne Kingston and Collingbourne Ducis.

It’s not known how long the closures will remain in place. It could take hours to reopen if highway resurfacing work is required.
