Bradford on Avon is impassable as the River Avon floods the town.

Mayor Jack Vittles is asking motorists not to travel across Town Bridge.

The flooded road is officially closed, despite some ignoring wardens.

In a post on social media, Mr Vittles said: “Please do not attempt to cross the town bridge and please listen to our hard working town wardens on the blocked sections.

“Any vans/lorries trying to ‘risk it’ are pushing water into our local businesses….

“DO NOT travel through town centre.”
